But then Mary jumped quite far away from the mud. She went up flying and she screamed a little. But then she fell hard on the ground and there was a loud cracking noise. Kurt instantly stopped jumping and ran over to his stricken friend. He could see that she was in a lot of pain.
“Oh my God Mary are you alright?” asked Kurt.
“No not really,” replied Mary. “I think I broke my hip.”
“Is there anything I can do?”
“You can just wait there. My body is knitting itself back together thank God. It might take me a minute.”
“But what about the animals around us? Can they still attack us?”
“Well right now I’m very vulnerable. It might take up to an hour for my hip to heal all the way.”
“What do I do until then?”
“Stay close to me. I’ll protect you as much as I can.”
“Thank you.”
Kurt then got closer to Mary. She was still in pain but her body was healing her wounds. In no time she would be back to her old self.
