Kurt was feeling a little cold but Mary’s body heat was keeping him warm. He liked the feeling and he looked at Mary’s face. She was smiling at him and he couldn’t help but smile back at her.
“How are you feeling?” asked Kurt.
“Still not too good,” replied Mary. “My body is still in pain. But at least its getting better then it was.”
“Good.”
But then they began to hear something. Kurt hid behind Mary in case it was an animal that was looking for something to eat.
“What is that?” asked Kurt.
“I don’t know,” replied Mary.
“Is it safe?”
“Let me check.”
Mary then carefully turned over and took a look. She couldn’t see anything. She looked back to Kurt.
“I can’t see anything,” said Mary.
“Thank God.”
