It didn’t take James long to find something on the ground. He found what seemed to be white powder. He instantly got Rose’s attention and she went to him. She was very eager to find out what he had found.
“Find anything?” asked Rose.
“Yeah this,” replied James. He then put some of the powder into Rose’s hand and she took a closer look at it.
“What is this stuff?”
“Your guess is as good as mine.”
But then Rose began to feel a burning sensation on her hand. When she looked she saw that the powder was going into her skin. She quickly brushed it off and she blew onto her hand. She was in a little pain.
“Are you alright?” asked James.
“Yes but that powder really burns,” replied Rose.
“It didn’t burn me.”
“You were lucky.” She looked at her hand. “See it left a red mark on my hand. And it really itches.”
“Don’t scratch it.”
