The next day in Ted and Mary's apartment. Ted had just gotten over Mary's big surprise for him last night. He would probably never look at her the same way again. But she didn't really mind. She had been practicing her new powers. For obvious reasons she couldn't fully try out her powers due to her being inside.
In the kitchen Ted was eating his lunch and Mary was lazily growing to reach the top shelf so she didn't have to reach.
"I wish you wouldn't do that," said Ted.
"Do what?" replied Mary.
"Use your powers like that."
"Hey you weren't complaining yesterday when I saved you."
"I didn't need saving. i could have handled it myself."
Mary shrinks herself back to normal height and sits by Ted. "Ok I'm sorry I didn't tell you first but I thought that you wouldn't believe me."
"Well you didn't even try. I'm sorry if i sound a bit angry but it's just come as a bit of a shock to me."
"Ok I'll go if you want to be alone for a while."
"No you're alright. Anyway what are you gonna do with your powers?"
"I'll probably be a play basketball. I was good at it in high school but I was cut from the team for being too short." Then then stands up. And she grows until she is 6'4. "Do you think this is tall enough?"
"Maybe a bit taller."
"Ok." She grows again until she is 6'9. "How about this?" Ted indicated that he still thought she was too small. So she grows again until she is 7'1. "Is this tall enough?"
"Just a bit more."
So she grows until she is 7'10. "I think this is tall enough now."
"I think you're right."
She goes to Ted and picks him up. "Now you're gonna see the advantages of having a girlfriend who is almost 2 feet taller than you. She takes him to their bedroom. For what happens next use your imagination.
