The next day at the L.A Hot Rods Women's team stadium (I made that up). Inside the head office the chairman Mr Jack Walter was shifting through his paper work. Then the gets a knock at the door. The door opens to reveal his secretary.
"Sir a Mr Ted Drake and a Miss Mary Kent are here to see you," said the Secretary.
"What do they want?" replied Jack.
"They wanted to see if you would accept Mary onto the team."
"Unless she's some sort of Prodigy I'm not interested. Send them in but they have 2 minutes to impress me."
First Ted comes through the door. Then just behind comes Mary. She is still in her 7'10 size. Jack nearly had a heart attack. Her head was only 2 inches away from the ceiling.
"Hello I'm Mary Kent and I was wondering if I could join the team," said Mary.
"Sure just take a seat."
Ted and Mary pull up a chair and sit by the desk.
"Now we can't just accept you on the team just because you're probably the tallest human being in the world."
"I'm still growing though."
Ted then looks at her in a funny way. He didn't know that she was planning to get any bigger.
"You need to prove you can play on the court as well."
"Just give me a ball and a net and I'll prove myself."
"Ok I'll take you there and I'll introduce you to the head coach."
Jack takes Ted and Mary down to the court. there they meet the head coach. Bruce Thompson. At first Bruce is Thunderstruck by the size of Mary. But after she introduced herself he was a little calmer.
"Ok Miss Kent show me your moves," said Bruce.
He throws a ball at her. She catches it by almost second nature. She dribbles down to a basket and does a slam dunk without even jumping. Then she goes to the half way line and scores a basket.
"Ok Mary I think we've seen enough," said Jack. Come back to my office and we'll discuss about your contract."
Mary was almost jumping with joy. her dream was coming true.
