Ted was in pain and Mary was powerless to do anything about it. All she could do was try and comfort him.
When they got to the hospital they took him to the emergency room. Mary had to wait outside. About half an hour later a doctor came out.
"Is he alright?" asked Mary.
"Yes he'll be fine," replied the Doctor.
"Oh thank God."
"The hospital is concerned about your unborn child. After the events that have just transpired. We recommend that we check that the baby is alright."
"Ok Doctor that'll be best."
"Ok now Mary can you come with me."
The Doctor took her to another room where they had a scan and a bed. There was also a nurse in there. Mary was told that this was the biggest bed in the hospital. It was larger than most beds but it was still at least a foot too small for her.
She did the best she could. She lay on the bed and the Nurse scanned her stomach. On the screen they were getting a view of the baby. The Doctor examines it.
"Well Mary your baby is fine," he said. "Also it looks like you're gonna have a..." Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
