"Please hurry," replied Mary.
Ted ran into the kitchen and called the ambulance. When he did it there would be a fifteen minute wait. He quickly went back into the toilet to Mary.
"Are you alright?"
"Do I look alright to you?" Ted fell silent for a moment. "I'm sorry Ted it's just a bad time."
"Well it's probably the worst time possible. Now lets get you into the lounge."
Ted helps Mary to her feet. She was breathing in deep breaths. They then went into the lounge and Mary sat on the sofa.
"Ok Mary just take deep breaths," said Ted.
"I was just wondering," replied Mary. "At the hospital do you think they'll have any beds big enough for me?"
"I hate to say it but probably not."
"I was afraid of that." She then screams in agony. "God that hurt."
"It's alright the ambulance'll be here any minute."
"I hope so if not I'll kill them."
"You don't mean that do you?"
"You've never been around a woman in labour have you?"
"No."
