The next morning Mary had woken up bright and early. She saw that Ted was still asleep but her body felt a little weird. She realised that she hadn't done her daily exercise. She got out of bed and got washed and changed into her jogging suit. She quickly checked if see if Gwen was alright. After that she went downstairs to the kitchen. She left Ted a note and she grabbed a little something to eat. then she went out for her jog.
After a few miles Mary still felt energetic. But then she saw something. There was a small child in the middle of the road. At first she didn't think much of it. But then she saw a car driving right towards the kid. The driver was clearly drunk. Without hesitation Mary quickly ran out into the road and pushed the kid out of the way. But there wasn't anytime to get herself out of the way. Before she could do anything the car hit her and it was traveling at 60 mph.
