He couldn't believe he had just lost his wife. He didn't care about the money all he wanted was her.
At the funeral he could stop crying. The L.A Hot Rods gave him some money after his loss. But he knew nothing anyone could do would bring back Mary. But in the car on the way home from the funeral he takes a very long look at Gwen.
"Don't worry," said Ted. "Where Mary died you will live."
Now we skip forward eighteen years and now Gwen is an eighteen year old teenager. She looks just like Mary except instead of having red hair she had blond. Her grandmother had blond hair so that's where she got it from. She was very tall. In fact she was taller than Mary was. She stood 8'6 tall. She was also the sweetest person you could ever imagine. Although she didn't go for a basketball career. Instead she wanted to help people. As of yet she hadn't manifested the size-changing power that her mother had.
We see Ted in the kitchen enjoying a bowl of cereal. Then Gwen walks in. She is wearing a white t-shirt, blue pants and a pair of No Fear sneakers. She bends down (a long way) and gives Ted a hug and a kiss.
"Good Morning Daddy," she said.
"Morning Angel," replied Ted.
