Gwen then goes over to the cupboard nd gets herself some cereal. Then she pours some milk on it and sits down at the table. The table itself was higher than most tables. Ted originally had it for Mary. But since her passing he couldn't bare to get rid of it. He had a higher chair so he could sit properly at the table. Gwen's chair was considerable lower.
After she had finished she kissed Ted again and then went to her car. Her car didn't have a roof or any front seats. This was so there was more head and leg room for her. She then made her way to work.
Gwen had a proper job but she also did voluntary work. She volunteered to work in an old folks home. Her gentle heart would make everyone happy. Even the grumpiest of old people felt better when she was around.
She would help them do group activities like playing bingo and some small exercises. She would even talk to them and they would say things about their youth. Some of them even fought in World War II. She doesn't do this because she was forced to. She did it so she could help them.
