In two weeks time it was the annual school prom. Gwen had been looking forward to prom night for as long as she could remember. She had even made herself a beautiful dress. But there was one thing troubling her. No one had asked her to be their date yet. And she knew not many guys would ask since most of them thought that she was an over-grown freak.
One day in the dining hall we see Gwen sitting eating her lunch at a table all by herself. She really didn't have any friends who weren't outcasts themselves. They were all busy else where. Then Gwen saw the guy of her dreams. His name was Daniel Derbyshire. He was 6 feet tall and he had brown hair and blue eyes. He was well built since he was the quarter back for the school football team.
Gwen had a huge crush on him. She knew that he was one of the nice guys of the school. Once he even help her pick up some books when she accidentally dropped them.
Then her day dream bubble popped. She realised that she didn't stand a chance of getting a guy like him she just put her head down and ate her lunch.
