If anything it was worse than ever. The bullies didn't hold anything back on the gentle giantess.
One day some girls were bullying her. They were ripping her clothes and calling her names. When they went away Gwen sat there and cried. Then she saw Daniel Derbyshire walking up to her. He sits down next to her.
"What's wrong Gwen?" he asked.
"The girls," replied Gwen. "They're bullying me. Oh juts want to die."
"You don't mean that."
"I do I don't want to be an overgrown freak. I want to be normal like everyone else."
"Sometimes it's not OK to be normal. Sometimes it's alright to be a little different."
"Not in my case. I'm just a freak."
"I don't think you're a freak."
"You don't?"
"Yes and I was just wondering..."
"Yes?"
"Will you be my date at the prom?"
This was the moment Gwen had been waiting for almost all her life.
"Yes I will be your date."
