“Ok you guys can have some more decent food,” said the General. “But you can’t have it all of the time. Do you understand?”
“Yes sir,” replied Gwen.
“You may leave now.”
Gwen then stood up to her full height and she left the office. Elizabeth and Cindy were outside waiting for her. All three of them jumped with joy when Gwen told them about the news.
But Gwen realised something. Ted still didn’t know that she was here. She went to a phone and called him. He picked up and was relieved to hear his daughter’s voice.
“Hello Daddy it’s me,” said Gwen.
“Oh thank God I was worried sick about you,” replied Ted.
“I’m alright. I’m just at this new school.”
“New School?”
“Yeah there’s one for all the teenagers with super powers.”
“You mean like the X-Men?”
“A little but its Government run.”
“Am I allowed to come and visit?”
