"We want you to help her out a little," said the General. "But only go near her one at a time. She hasn't fully controlled her powers yet."
The General then walked away leaving Vanessa behind. Elizabeth and Cindy too a step back. Gwen stayed because she knew that she could comfort the terrified girl. The other girls felt bad about moving away from Vanessa. But it was for her own good.
Vanessa began to grow back to normal now that Cindy had moved away. Gwen put her on the ground until she was back to her normal height.
"Are you alright?" asked Gwen.
"Yes I'm fine thank you," replied Vanessa. "I just wish I could control my power."
"That's why we're all here. Once I accidentally grew out of the roof on my prom night. After that not many people went near me."
"But my powers aren't all that of stealing powers. It's stealing talents."
"What do you mean?"
"Well for example if I rolled a bowling ball I wouldn't hit any of the pins. But if I was next to someone who was really good then I would gain his talent and keep scoring. But if I moved away I would lose that talent."
"So your powers are a gift?"
