Cindy began to smile a little. She looked up at her very tall friend. All she could see was friendship in Gwen's eyes.
"That's what I like to see," said Gwen. "My next match doesn't start until tomorrow so do you want to go out for some ice cream."
"Can the others come?" replied Cindy.
"Yeah sure they can all come if they want to."
"Ok."
A little later Gwen, Elizabeth, Cindy, Vanessa and Robbie went to an ice cream parlour. The group attracted some attention mainly to Gwen's height. She still had to really bend down to get through the doors.
But eventually they came up to the counter and they began to look at the choices on the menu. They all seemed to be delicious.
"Can I help you?" asked the cashier.
"Yeah I want a sundae surprise," said Gwen.
"I'll take the Cookie Combo," replied Elizabeth.
"I'll go with chocolate sprinkles deluxe," added Cindy.
"Just a dark night for me," replied Vanessa.
