After Gwen ate a lot of cookies and drank a lot of lemonade she began to get to work done. She saw that the garden was in a bit of a state and the hedges had overgrown a little. Gwen’s Grandma was too short to reach the very top of them so that job was for her. She could reach it no problem.
But while she was working she saw a teenage boy her age walk to the garden. He couldn’t see Gwen’s height. He could see her towering above the bush but he thought that she was on a ladder.
“Hey there,” he said.
“Hi,” replied Gwen.
“Are you new around here or something?”
“No I’m just visiting my grandma. I’m giving her a hand with the gardening. Poor thing can’t do it all by herself.”
“Oh yeah.”
“Just let me come around.”
The boy expected to see Gwen get lower. But she didn’t she walked around and he finally saw how tall she was.
“Jesus Christ!” he shouted.
