Even when they got back to their apartment John was a little shook up over the failed mugging. But he was in the loving arms of his girlfriend that made him feel better inside. She even gave him a comforting kiss.
“Does that make you feel better?” asked Tabitha.
“Yes thank you,” replied Jon. “Thanks for saving me.”
“No problem. That’s what super-heroines do. Besides it just feels nice to scare some bad guys.”
The pair then have a nice cold drink before going to bed. Tabitha wanted to have a shower before she went to bed. This would relax her enough to go to sleep. She then went to bed with John. He looked at her.
“This feels like a married life,” said John.
“Yeah I feel like a wife myself,” replied Tabitha.
“You know there are plenty of other things that a married couple do.”
“Yeah you need to take the trash out tomorrow morning.”
John then gave out a huff but then Tabitha gave him a kiss and they both drifted to sleep. Eventually it was Tabitha who was the last to fall asleep. There was something that was just bugging her.
