Tabitha stayed in her room alone for a while. One of the servants brought her some food and she happily ate it. Thankfully the dress she had thrown onto the fire had burned up quickly. She was thankful for the crappy fabric of this age.
She was happy to see Harold come back. She ran to him and gave him a hug. But he just looked at her a little strange.
"Did you put on a new dress?" asked Harold.
"Yeah that other one didn't really suit me that well," replied Tabitha. "Do you think it looks good on me?"
"Tabitha anything you wear looks good on you."
"Oh thank you."
"Also I got a little surprise for you."
"What is it?"
"Well if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise."
"Silly me."
Just then Harold got a beautiful pearl necklace from out of his pocket. Tabitha looked at it with excitement. They were the biggest pearls she had ever seen on a necklace. Her eyes lit up.
