Just then all the alarms went off. This panicked Emily a little but Tabitha was still calm. But she was also curious with what the big bang was. Emily looked at her calm mother and this made her feel calmer.
“What was that?” asked Emily.
“I don’t know,” replied Tabitha.
Just then a scientist ran towards the pair. He was seemingly running for his life when he saw the two of them.
“Get out of here,” he said.
“What’s happened?” replied Tabitha.
“There’s been an explosion in Lab C.”
“Are there still people inside?”
“Yes.”
“Then we’ll save them.” She then looked at Emily. “Remember all those times you wanted me to teach you how to be a hero?”
“Yes,” replied Emily.
“Here’s you chance. Follow me.”
Tabitha then began to move towards where the explosion had come from.
