The next day Emily had John and Tabitha downstairs in the lounge. Michelle was also with them and Emily was trying to think about what she was going to say. She didn’t know how her parents would react to this. She hoped that they wouldn’t try to disown her or something like that. But she took a deep breath and began to hope for the best. But she still had her worries.
“Mom, Dad I need to tell you something,” said Emily.
“What is it?” replied Tabitha.
“I’m pregnant.”
There was a long silence for a moment. No one said anything for now. The silence lasted for a few moments.
“You’re pregnant?” asked John.
“Yes I’ve had numerous tests and they’re all positive,” replied Emily. She then began to cry a little. “I’m sorry.”
“Oh come here sweety.”
The family then gave Emily a hug. There was a lot of her to go around and she began to hope that things would go for the best.
“Who’s the father?” asked Tabitha.
