Rose continued to walk back to the house. She couldn't stop giving James a little. But then for some reason he stopped.
"What's wrong James?" asked Rose.
"I hear something," replied James.
"What can you hear?"
"Sounded like a twig snapping."
"Don't worry about it. I probably did it. Now let's get back before the others start wondering where we are."
Rose continued her walk but then she heard a snarling noise. At first she thought it was James just playing around. But then she turned around and saw a creature. it looked like a dog but it was bigger. It had huge teeth and glowing red eyes. Rose froze with fear.
"Ok don't make a single movement," said Rose. "It might not be able to see us."
Then the creature sniffed and Rose knew that it could smell them. Then it pounced on her. She was able to throw it to one side for now. But it kept coming for her. She was more scared then any of moment in her entire life. Plus the fact that she had James' safety to worry about.
