Just before Charlotte and her mother argued Gwen came into the room. It seemed that she had come in at just the right time. Everyone looked at her and she felt a little embarrassed.
"I'm not interrupting anything?" asked Gwen.
"No not at all," replied Charlotte. She then looked at her mother. "You remember Gwen don't you mother?"
"Oh yes Gwen," replied Charlotte's mother. "Wasn’t she part of that human lover club you were in?"
"Mother!"
"Well I don't see why you help lesser beings."
"But Mom."
"No buts I'll let you and Antonio get to know each other."
Charlotte's Mother then left the room and she took Gwen with her. This just left Charlotte and Antonio. She didn't know what to say. She didn't want to marry him but she was under a lot of pressure from her mother.
"So Charlotte I look forward to having your hand in marriage," said Antonio.
"Too bad you're not having it," replied Charlotte.
