Just then Charlotte's mother came in. She was appalled to see the two about to have sex. In their society sex before marriage was immorally wrong. This made her fuming and she grabbed Charlotte off of Antonio.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" she asked.
"He came onto me," replied Charlotte.
"Did he? No pig is having my daughter. Get out now."
Antonio quickly grabbed his things and left. Charlotte was glad to see him leave. This put a smile on her face. She was safe for now but she knew that she had to eventually tell her parents that she was married to a human.
A few days later Charlotte's mother had left and everything seemed to be back to normal. Both Charlotte and Rose's James were back in the house safe. They were trying to go through their everyday lives.
"Anything happen today?" asked Charlotte.
"No nothing really," replied James. "Except your mother sent you another letter saying she's gotten you a husband."
"What?"
He giggled. "Just kidding?"
