"Shoo," said Rose. "Go away." The bear then ran away and the men were safe.
The next morning the rain had stopped and it was now fine to come out of the cave. It was still damp but fine. They came out and Rose stepped into a new lake that seemed like a puddle. This wet her foot and she more or less instantly put her foot back up.
"Ok not quite the start I had in mind," said Rose.
"Lucky it isn't one that goes to your chin," replied Gemma. She giggled a little. "Remember what happened last time?"
"Oh yes now I remember."
The first thing the giantesses did was get some breakfast. They got some fruit from out of the trees. Although they ate most of it they did give some of it to the men on their shoulders. They even gave them a little stroke.
"Trees are too damp to make firewood," said Charlotte's James.
"Why not make them dry?" replied Charlotte.
"I wish it was that easy I really do."
"Let me help."
She then snapped a twig off the tree and she blew it. It almost instantly dried with her breath. James was amazed.
