The man had gotten back to the village. He was an important and well respected man here and they peasants here took his word for almost anything that wasn't totally impossible.
"They have come," he said.
"Who has come?" replied a Peasant.
"The giants. They have come to destroy everything and take what little food we have. I have seen one myself. She had a man prisoner."
"A monster."
"I say we strike them before they get a chance to strike us. I have already dealt minor wounds to one of them. She bled."
"That means..."
"Yes if it bleeds we can kill them."
Meanwhile at the cave the giantesses were totally oblivious to the oncoming danger. They were just trying to find a permanent place to stay. Although the cave was big enough for them they needed a little more.
But eventually they saw Rose and her James return. They were glad to see her back but they noticed arrows in her body.
