The sun came out at dawn and slowly lit the cave. All the gantesses felt the light hit them but they weren't looking foreward to today's work. The men had to encourage them to wake up. James especially had trouble with charlotte. When all the others had finally started to get up, Charlotte was still lying down. "Charlotte you have to get up!" he said while nudgeing himself aganst her cheek to push Charlotte's head up. when her eyes had finally cracked open the first thing she saw was James pushing against her cheek. She unfortunatly found his rubbing against her cheek a sign of affection when he was really trying to wake her up. Charlotte pushed her cheek back against James pushing his body to the cave floor nuzzling him gently.

James pushed his head out from under her "C'mon we have to get going, the others are already ready to go" "alright" said a groggy Charlotte. She got up and streched with a few yawns escaping her from time to time. Charlotte picked James up and headed outside. While she walked Charlotte picked a few fruits from the trees they were passing by. She gave some to James and kept a few for herself. When she got to the village the other giantesses had already started working greeting Charlotte and James with a smile. Today Charlette had to build new huts for some of the villagers. She settled down by a pile of already cut logs ready to be made into houses. She put James down beside her and got to work. after a while of work the pile of logs had gone down but it started to get wobbly and unstable. A young village girl had taken an interest in Charlotte's display and decided to take a closer look.

When Charlotte noticed her she looked down and smiled. However this was a mistake, with herself distracted she reached at the stack of logs and accidently pulled one from the bottom causing the whole stack to topple over in a landslide of wood. James was quick to action as he pushed the girl ot of the way while he instead was hit full on. Charlotte quickly fished him out and took a closer look at him. What she saw devistated her, James had multiple cuts and bruises as well as a few broken bones, and he was unconcious. Charlotte wanted so badly to hug or hold him close to comfort him, but she was too afraid of harming him further. all she could do was cup her hands around him and cry. The little girl knew something was wrong and ran to inform the other villagers. They had come to Charlotte as well as the village healer. The healer urged her to give them James so they could treat his wounds and she relunctantly let them.

The other giantesses had stopped what they were doing and came over to Charlotte asking what was the matter. They couldn't understand what Charlotte was saying through he rmuffled sobs. The young girl had stayed behind and told them about what has happened. a few hours later all the giantesses were huddled around the healer's house Charlotte was still crying while the other giantesses tried to comfort her. The healer finally came out with a smile on his face "good knews, James will be fine, he has a broken arm and leg so he won't be able to move for a few months along with some minor injuries but nothing that won't heal over time. Charlotte let out a huge sigh of relief that almost nocked the healer, ryan and the other James over. "can we see him?" Rose asked to lift Charlotte's spirit "I would prefer not too, it's best if we keep him here over night" Charlotte wouldn't allow it "no" she said meekly "no! I can't leave him he's my husband, he needs to be with me!" The healer backed down "fine, you can take him, just be sure he doesn't move too much" Charlotte nodded while on the verge of tears.

She took the roof off the hut grabbed James and hurried home to the cave. The gantesses wanted to fallow but they thought it would be best for them to be left alone at the moment, and there was still work to be done. The village leader aproached the remaining giantesses "I understand if she can not work in the village for a while, I'm sure she will be preocupied" the giantesses thanked him for understanding and went back to work. In the cave Charlotte held James in her arms "ugh..where am I" James said coming back to reality. Charlotte couldn't hold in her excitement as she proceeded to nuzzle him softly and beg forgiveness until James stopped her "relax Charlotte, I understand it was an accident, I don't blame you" She hugged him against her breast happy he was okay until he spoke again "why are we here, don't we still need to help the villagers?" now Charlotte was a little angry "James you are badly hurt, I'm not going to leave you in cave by yourself!" she said firmly "but, Charlotte you have an obligation to them"
