As the rain came down sometime later the giantesses had finished work and they were watching it from the safety of their cave. But there were huge bolts of lightning come down and a few of them were close to where they were. Gwen was getting a little scared of them.
“That one got too close for comfort,” said Gwen.
“Don’t worry lightning never hits the same place twice,” replied Samantha. “You’re perfectly safe.”
“I wish I could believe that but until this storm has passed I won’t truly feel safe. I just want it to be over.”
“Don’t tell me you’re afraid of a little thunder and lightning?”
“Well I am a little. I’m always afraid that I’ll be struck by lightning. Even we couldn’t survive a direct hit.”
“But the chances of that happening are millions to one.”
“But it could still happen.”
“Well if you stay in here an you’ll be safe.”
“I hope so.”
“Just relax.”
