After the show everyone left and Jean sat in the back. Thankfully her show had gone better than she had hoped. She was happy in one sense but sad in another. She was happy now she had new friends. But she was sad in thinking she would never go back to Earth. Now she must have been the size of the entire solar system. There was no way she could fit on the planet.
A few minutes later Maria went to her. She had a huge smile on her face.
"That was a great performance," she said. "You really killed them out there."
"What?" replied Jean.
"Figure of speech hun."
"Oh."
Maria could see that there was something wrong with Jean. "What's wrong?"
"I can never go back home. I can never see the people I cared about. I can never get the career I wanted."
"Don't worry, here you're a star. You're on your way to be the biggest thing to hit this planet than the Smith Brothers."
