“You mean my slightly bigger bundle of joy,” replied Maria.
Then Jean saw their daughter. She picked her up and she smiled at her. But she didn’t look any bigger. That was probably because Jean had grown as well.
“Oh look how big you’re getting,” said Jean. “One day you’ll be as big as your mother.” She then put the little girl on the ground. “Where is Remy anyway?”
“He’s just around the back. He’ll be here in a minute.”
The three of them waited a few minutes until Remy finally came around. He was amazed to see that Jean had returned. This put a smile on his face.
“Jean so nice to see you,” said Remy.
“It’s nice to see you again too,” replied Jean. “I don’t want to sound like a broken record but I’m running out of cures again.”
“Well I would have guessed that. There’s more in my lab but I’ve been working on one that’ll keep you at your current size indefinitely.”
“That sounds great.”
“Trouble is I haven’t worked out all of the bugs yet.”
“Don’t worry you’ll get there one day.”
