This choice: In the forest Saria investigates the blob of flab that sneaked in from the field | Go Back

Chapter 25: Saria and the Blob   (ID #1175977)
an addition by: Drez  More by this author

The blob of creamy flesh had poked into Kokiri Forest, completely covering the small rope bridge that led into Hyrule proper and was just poking slightly into the village that Link was raised in long ago. None of the Kokiri--save for Saria--had ever ventured beyond the forest. This is due because any Kokiri that leaves the forest will die--not instantly, it might take a few days or even a week depending on how healthy said Kokiri is. Saria was a special case because she's one of the seven sages of Hyrule. Few Kokiri know Saria is a sage.
Saria was exploring the seemingly endless Lost Woods, hoping to find a way beyond the maze-like woods. Because there was something beyond the Lost Woods to be sure....maybe even another country. But Saria had no luck whatsoever in finding a way past the Lost Woods that didn't lead back to the village or the Forest Temple. Since the defeat of Ganondorf, Saria grew bored and explored the Lost Woods, discovering two new locations; A grand fountain that looked ancient enough to be as old as Hyrule itself. The fountain had long ago dried up and was covered in vines and moss. The other location that Saria had discovered seem to be an incredibly old looking temple to the three goddesses of Hyrule. It was slightly smaller than the Forest Temple, and looked to be far more older.
Now, Saria was standing in front of the bit of flesh that had crept its way into Kokiri Village. The blob was flesh-colored and was very yielding--another Kokiri had almost sunk right into the blob until Saria had saved him--it turned out to be Mido of all people.
"What's that thing?" asked Mido.
"I don't know...." said Saria. "but I'm going to find out"
