We start our tale in an apartment building just outside New York City. We go into the apartment that belongs to Lorna Williams. It's 6.59 in the morning. She is still in bed. And her alarm clock is about to go off.
BZZT
She pushes the button and the alarm clock switches off.
"Oh it's too early," she said.
She slowly starts to get out of bed. She has long fair hair, blue eyes and is only 5 feet tall. She is only 21. First she puts on her glasses then she goes into her kitchen and makes herself breakfast. And slipped into some clothes. Then she has a glance at the clock. She nearly chocks when she sees what time it was.
"Oh crap I'm late."
Faster than the Flash she was fully changed and went into her small car and drove to work.
She worked at the labs. She was the assisstant of Dr Alex Winter a young, slightly mad but brilliant scientist from England.
Lorna enters into Winter's lab. he is already waiting for her. He was about six feet tall, brown hair and grey eyes. He wore an AC/DC t-shirt under his white jacket.
"Where the bloody hell have you been?" asked Alex. "Do you realise what time it is?"
"Yes I know I'm sorry I lost track of time."
"That's alright just don't do it again. I'm expecting our employer any minute to check on our progress."
Lorna and Alex felt something between each other. They both were in love with each other but neither of them had the guts to ask one of them for a date. this had been going on for several months.
They were both trying to find a formula to make things increase in size.They had tried it on several animals but only half of them were effected (You'll see why in a minute).
After a few hours of working a man in a very expensive business suit came into the lab. It was the man who had hired Alex and Lorna.
"What the progress?"
"Well sir we have had a breakthrough," said Dr Alex. "We have tested our serum on rats and other animals. The serum is on effective in gas form. Liquid or solid has no effect."
"Anything else?"
"We found out that the serum on works on animals with exact paired chromosomes," replied Lorna.
"In English."
"It only works on females. You see Men have X and Y chromosomes and Women have XX."
"Have there been any side-effects?"
"Once in one of the cases. The rat we tested it on. It increased in size but her hair also turned green."
"How long ago was that?"
"It was one of our early experiments."
"Can I request that we test it on humans?" asked Alex.
"I'm afraid not," replied the businessman. "This serum looks like it needs some more tests."
"But we've done all the tests we can."
"I will say no more on the matter."
He leaves.
Later that night Alex and Lorna are still in the lab working. They were getting frustrated. Eventually Alex flipped and threw a beaker at the wall.
"Why can't we do any human experiments? All the others were perfect."
Lorna tries to comfort him the best that she can.
"I'll do it," said Lorna.
"Do what?"
"I'll be the human guinea pig."
"Do you realise the risks?"
"Yes if they're anything like our previous experiments I'll be fine."
"Alright."
They get ready for the experiment. Lorna goes into gas chamber and Alex goes to the controls.
"Are you ready?" asked Alex.
"Yes," replied Lorna.
"Ok releasing the gas now."
The gas chamber starts to fill with the serum in a gas form. Somehow the gas absorbs into her skin.
