You are an American. You remember your ancestors (could be grandparents or great-grandparents depending on your age) Alexios and Rachel, who first encountered the arts of Vore in a secretive, strange college class at a top university. Today, vore is everywhere. Stores sell special elastic clothing, powerful breath-and-belly fresheners, purgatives, anti-digestive agents and pills, and all sorts of strange wares. Entire companies have switched from producing standard drugs to researching things related to Vore--not just digestion of meals one's own size but other things related to controlling one's body. Classes are taught not just on capturing and devouring meals, but also on how to digest them slowly or quickly or sensually...or to absorb them in such a way that they remain alive as a sort of fetus which can later be reborn and grown...or even kept small.

Years ago, there was a sudden "coming out" of vore practitioners everywhere. It was suddenly revealed to the publich consciousness that people from Congress all the way down to local police were vore-capable, and not all of them were female. Most of them were, and it soon became clear that the vore folks were trying not simply to force acceptance of their lifestyle but also to reverse the male-dominated social balance.

Most people who were outspoken against this were easily seduced by stunningly beautiful elite women who had not only eaten men to improve their looks but had also enhanced their attractiveness through a carefully developed set of pheromones, which most males were hardly able to resist.

Nevertheless, it was a tumultuous time which resulted in large scale unrest and chaos in the military. People of other nations looked on, but similar uprisings by vore factions were quashed on most countries around the world, with the exceptions of The Netherlands and a few liberal European and other countries...yet, in most places, vore practitioners remained the minority and were limited by law.

In America, they took over.

Today, it is accepted that once a girl reaches puberty, she is ready for her "first swallowing." A First Swallowing is a significant event in the life of a female, and usually involves the swallowing whole and alive of a boy about the same age. Sometimes it is paired with sex, but most of the time that is avoided. Families often choose relatives to be eaten, but when that is not possible, they have to find someone else. The sale of captured humans is forbidden in all but a very small number of locations, and those locations are controlled by strict laws much like casinos are today.

Most boys of that age (12-15) accept that there is a possibility they will be swallowed by a girl. Actually, many families still do not practice vore, at least to the point of killing their victims, and thus the First Swallowing, if at all done, results in the boy being set free at the end.

All vore-capable individuals must be registered with the government, usually with some sort of documentation as proof of their ability. Some females cannot vore, and almost all males cannot, but an increasing number of males have acquired the capability. They, however, are much more likely to be arrested or eaten in revenge if they are too free with their abilities.

Most vore capable people only eat members of the opposite sex. It is considered quite taboo to digest another vore capable individual. It is also very inappropriate to eat a close friend of such a person, and it is prohibited by law for anyone to eat a vore-capable woman's husband--except the wife herself. Eating a person engaged to such a woman also carries a stiff penalty.

Many boys expect that getting eaten by a girl is something that may happen someday. Quite a few actually want it to happen, while others dread it and try to find ways to protect themselves, either socially or through learning anti-vore techniques and buying pills and hormones to combat digestion.

Some guys are able to naturally avoid being digested...they are usually called "digestion proof," and they tend to make a lot of money selling their services at parties.
