That thought ran through Hinata's mind like the Akamichi clan to an all you-can-eat-buffet. She lowered he head and ran off.
"Was it something I said?" Naruto asked aloud, showing his usual "blunt as a brick wall" insights to this type of matter. The other three realized what had happened: Hinata had a crush on Naruto and he just broke it bad.
"If Kakashi-sensei comes back while I'm gone, tell him I'll be back in a few," Sakura said hopping down and going after Hinata.
"Okay, what did I miss?" Naruto asked again. Lee and Sasuke looked at each other, then Naruto.
"You think being bigger could make some more stupid?" Sasuke asked.
"Well, at least oblivious to the obvious," Lee replied This started Lee and Sasuke chiding Naruto for a bit.
Meanwhile, Sakura was moving quickly and heard a girl crying. She moved towards the noise and found Hinata crying into her knees.
"Hinata," Sakura said, quietly approaching her. Hinata heard Sakura and for a moment, her mind flashed with anger. Hinata slowly rose to her feet and looked at Sakura.
"How long?" she asked.
"How long what?" Sakura replied.
"How long have you had this gift? How long have you loved Naruto-kun!?" Hinata yelled, her tears were back.
"The gift I received from a demon," Sakura said calmly, "One of the powerful tail-beasts bonded with me. As for Naruto, I guess it's been growing for a while."
"But it's not as long as my love for him!" Hinata said, "I've cared about Naruto since the Academy, when all you cared about was Sasuke Uchiha."
"Well, part of me is sorry you had to find out in such a bad way," Sakura said, "Naruto can be pretty dense at times."
"I know," Hinata said. "But still, you weren't watching him all those years. You don't know how lonely he was in this village. No one approaching him. No one wanting to be his friend."
"Not even you. You watched him and did nothing to help ease his pain," Sakura said coldly, "But there were others who weren't held back by fear. That was one reason I made Iruka-sensei bigger as well. He cared about Naruto and treated him like a younger sibling. So I might of been blinded by an infatuation with Sasuke, but you still did nothing. Who's crime is worse: The blind one who didn't see the pain or the one who did see and did nothing?"
