As Naruto ran off with Sakura close behind, they were unaware they were being watched from a shadowy figure in the treetops. As soon as they were gone, he jumped down and laughed to himself.

"My plan is already working. How foolish these Leaf shinobi are."

Suddenly, another ninja appeared behind the first carrying a scroll.

"Lord Orochimaru, I've returned." Kabuto said.

Orochimaru turned and saw him carrying the scroll. "I thought I told you to deliver that to the Hyuga manor."

"It wouldn't have done any good." he replied. "Neji Hyuga is currently outside the village on a solo mission."

Orochimaru smiled and said, "No matter. The other pieces are already in place."

He grabbed the scroll and set it on fire until it was nothing more than ash. Kabuto pushed his glasses up and said, "What exactly is your plan Lord Orochimaru? Making the Leaf ninja so much bigger and powerful seems counteractive to you desire to destroy the Leaf Village."

Orochimaru laughed and said, "These are no ordinary scrolls Kabuto. Not only do they contain crystalized chakra but they are imbued with a jutsu that increases one's body and power to great extents. But I have embedded a piece of my own chakra inside each scroll. As the Leaf ninja grow, their desire to grow more will increase until they are all fighting each other wildly. And with each defeat, the victor only grows bigger and stronger. Soon, only one will be left standing, with not only the full power of the jutsu but a substantial dose of my own chakra. Manipulating this chakra, I intend to take control of the last standing giant and use him to crush the Leaf Village once and for all!"

Kabuto smiled and said, "Very clever Lord Orochimaru. But why not simply take the body as your own?"

Orochimaru turned away from him and said, "A body of that size would be far too impractical for my own desires. Too clumsy...too large to perform the delicate tasks that lay ahead..."

Kabuto nodded and said, "I only delivered one of the scrolls to Rock Lee. Who else besides Naruto received one?"

Orochimaru listed the names off, "Shino Aburame, Shikamaru Nara, Kiba Inuzaka, Choji Akimichi, Sasuke Uchiha, and the teachers, Asuma, Kakashi, and Iruka. A visiting Gaara was also targeted."

Kabuto was impressed by the sheer number of shinobi targeted. Their fighting alone could be enough to destroy the village. The only question remained...who would come out on top?
