As Naruto and Gaara came to terms, Kakashi had arrived at the Hokage Mansion. Tsunade and Shizune had been shocked to see Kakashi, but he quickly explained the situation. Tsunade's look of surprise turned to one of grim realization.

"That does sound like something Orochimaru would try." Tsunade said. "I'm going to have you assemble a team to search for Orochimaru Kakashi. It's imperative we find him and stop him from continuing this plan."

Kakashi nodded and said, "I'll do the best I can."

Tsunade looked stern and said, "No, trying isn't good enough. If Orochimaru succeeds here the village won't stand much of a chance. If worst came to worse we'd have to kill remaining giant. That itself would no doubt cost many lives, much like the battle with the Nine Tailed Fox all those years ago. Either way, it would be a tragedy for the Leaf Village. I don't know if the village can keep bouncing back from all these attacks and emotional blows."

Kakashi understood. "I'll go assemble the Anbu Black Ops. We'll start looking for Orochimaru within the hour depending on how long it takes to rally them all."

Tsunade nodded and said, "Then go!"

After Kakashi left Tsunade turned to Shizune and said, "Shizune I need you to go out and find Jiraiya. We might be needing him before this is over. He shouldn't be too far away."

Shizune nodded and left. Near the outskirts of the village, Orochimaru and Kabuto watched the events of the village. Orochimaru smiled as he saw Kakashi dart around the village, looking for the Anbu Black Ops. He turned to Kabuto and said, "Kakashi, Gaara, and Naruto are the only ones left. Since Naruto and Gaara refuse to fight, Kakashi is our prime objective."

Orochimaru pulled out a scroll identical to the one that Naruto and the others had received and opened it, drawing a brush across the paper, making a series of symbols and shapes. He quickly finished drawing and placed the scroll on the ground. He made a series of hand signs and slammed his palm down on top of the scroll.

"Forbidden Jutsu! Mind Corruption: Grow!"

Dust suddenly erupted around Orochimaru's palm littering the scroll and covering most of the symbols. Orochimaru, already showing the strain of using this jutsu so many times to make many other scrolls, stood back up and made the same hand signs, adding three at the end. He held his palm over the dust covered scroll, focusing on the center of it.

"Forbidden Jutsu! Mind Corruption: Chakra Imprint!"

A purple pulse of chakra flowed out of Orochimaru's hand and into the scroll, causing it to briefly glow purple. When the glow faded Orochimaru carefully rolled the scroll up and sealed it. "In half an hour the scroll will be ready. We have to mask our presence until that time."

Kabuto nodded and made a few hand signs, "Earth Style! Diving Concealment Jutsu!"

Kabuto and Orochimaru both sunk into the ground, awaiting the time to spring the trap on Kakashi.
