Though his body was much larger, Gaara's sand proved a good defense against Naruto's powerful punches. Naruto's speed kept him from getting caught by Gaara's sand.

"This isn't good. If I lose that other ninja will be free," Gaara thought, as another punch was blocked, "Naruto's improved a great deal. But he is always stronger when protecting someone."

"That sand is powerful," Naruto thought, "I'll need to take him down like I took down Iruka." Naruto jumped back and made eight shadow clones. Four went and charged Gaara, forcing his defenses to work over time while the other four made two rasegans.

"My god, even if he barely touches Gaara, the damage of one will be extreme," Jiraiya said quietly, "Both hitting might make enough of an explosion for Sakura to escape."

"Then get ready in case that happens," Tsunade ordered.

Orochimaru smiled evilly. "I had nearly forgotten that boy knows the 4th Hokage's move," he said, "At that size, he could destroy the half the Leaf Village in one strike."

"Naruto," Sakura thought, shedding some tears.

Gaara was watching the four as they attacked. "There!" he thought when all four clones left something open and Gaara pierced eat with sand spikes. They disappeared. "What now?" Gaara thought when he heard running steps towards him. He saw Naruto charging head on with some chakra in his hand. Gaara moved to step when he felt something hit him in the backside. He turned his head and saw the real Naruto with a rasengan. The force of it had pierced his sand and hit him square in the back. Gaara started to fall forward when the second one hit his chest. As a result, Gaara flew into the sky. As he did, he began to shrink, while Naruto climbed upwards to 160 feet tall. While this happened, three other things happened with in seconds.

First, the concussion from the strikes made Orochimaru flinch enough to cover his ears. Sakura also covered his ears. The moment this happened, Jiraiya raced forward and picked up Sakura while Tsunade landed a punch on his back, breaking the spine and sending him into Naruto's huge leg.

But unfortunately, the moment Gaara lost, his sand prison on Kakashi fell and the copy ninja stood up, wanting to fight.
