Shikamaru quickly shrank himself down, rightfully thinking that a 375 foot upper body sticking out of the forest would be a dead giveaway to what was going on. When he back to normal size he walked along the water until he came to shore where Jiraiya was waiting for him. They were about to leave together to head back to the village when Temari walked out from her hiding place and said, "That was pretty impressive."

Shikamaru shrugged but Jiraiya frowned at the Sand girl. "I know you're an ally to the Leaf village but you shouldn't be sneaking around spying on people."

Temari smiled and said, "Well it's not like I could ever do anything to the village. My brothers alone wouldn't let me do anything let alone trying to do something with so many giants in this village. Truthfully, the Leaf doesn't need allies if it doesn't want them."

Jiraiya didn't like that line of thinking and said, "That doesn't matter. Shikamaru just used the last scroll so there will be no more growing. I don't want you to reveal your full height to anyone Shikamaru. I don't want there to be trouble between comrades."

Shikamaru agreed and said, "That's all you needed me for right?"

Jiraiya nodded and said, "I'm going to continue to monitor things around the village and keep a lookout for Akatsuki members. Don't do anything to antagonize the people of the village. If you get any opportunity help relations between us. The village is starting to get divided and that is something we can't afford."

Both ninja nodded and Jiraiya left, hoping that this thing wouldn't end up hurting them in the end after all...

As all this was going on, Tsunade and Shizune had managed to find Team 7 and was talking with them. She left the last scroll out of it, not wanting to start off by getting Naruto and Sasuke angry. Both boys and Sakura were sitting on a rock in the woods while Tsunade talked to them, Shizune there to lend moral support and help Tsunade if things were to get rough in any way. Tsunade looked between the two boys and said, "I thought you two would get along better after spending time together but I see that hasn't happened. Nor has either of you been very happy about the recent growings. Sasuke, did you ever stop to think that there was a reason behind my decision not to use you?"

Sasuke didn't say anything. Tsunade continued, "You are arrogant, volatile, and narrow minded. These are not good qualities of a protector of the Leaf Village. If it had been up to me, Naruto wouldn't be as big as he is either. I would've preferred to keep you both under twenty feet."

Naruto started to protest but Tsunade silenced him and continued, "You Naruto are loyal and kind but you also have a deep need to show off and try and prove yourself. That could mean easily falling into a trap and being used against us. The Akatsuki have the jutsu to make more scrolls and even though the Kyuubi keeps you from going completely under control at first it will eventually use the chakra as a means to escape from your body. That would be disastrous for the village."

Both boys said nothing, neither betraying his emotions. Tsunade continued, "The reason I want to talk to you both is because bonds in this village have begun to fray. Some are blinded by jealousy at others sizes while some are angry and afraid of the giants. This is not an atmosphere that should exist in this village. If things keep going the way they are the village will eventually become divided. To prevent this, I have decided that no more growth scrolls will be made ever again."

Sasuke's heart sank as he heard this. That meant that he was stuck forever at his "meager" height of twenty feet. Every other giant would always look down on him. Now that it was a fact instead of a mere speculation Sasuke would have to learn to deal with it. Tsunade smiled at him and said, "Perhaps revenge isn't the best course of action for you anymore. There are so many other ways to live your life. Don't throw it away by focusing on your brother. The reason you sought him out so fiercely was because you wanted revenge, but you also believed that no one else would be capable of it. Now we have a large group of ninja that can make it happen easily. I don't expect you to come to terms with this situation instantly but eventually you'll see. I'm confident in that."

Sasuke didn't know what to do or say so he just sat there, thinking about what he was going to do. Sakura patted him on the shoulder and he didn't pull away like he usually did. Sakura found this to be a good sign. Naruto saw that Sasuke was going to need some time to deal with this so he decided to stop worrying about everyone else and help his friend through his tough times. Tsunade turned to Shizune and said, "Alright, let's move on."

Shizune looked back at the three ninja sitting close together on the rock and thought, "Maybe everyone can learn to get along..."
