Shizune was paralyzed by the immense anger and killing intent in the Hokage's eyes.
"What could of happened to make her like that?" Shizune wondered as she pressed herself against the wall, waiting for Tsunade to pass and when she did, Shizune went to find other Jounin to warn them.
Elsewhere on a roof of a building, Jiraiya had been waiting to hear from his informants. He was waiting to hear about Akatsuki movements when he saw Tsunade pass a window in her mansion. When he saw her face, even for a moment, he knew there was trouble.
"I wonder if Teuchi confirmed Itachi's story. If he did. . . I better get in there," Jiraiya said departing his location.
Tsunade was within sight of the elder's room. As she took another step closer, she felt Jiraiya appear behind her.
"Go Jiraiya. Leave me," Tsunade said before continuing on. Jiraiya followed.
"I take it Teuchi confirmed everything I told you?" Jiraiya asked grimly.
"Yes, and I know this isn't some hoax either," Tsunade said.
"How so?" Jiraiya asked.
"It was how Teuchi repeated the words of the old man in his story," Tsunade said, "His words, his reactions were right on the spot. And it were things that no one but those who've seen that man under great stress and deliberation would of known."
"And now you want to go kill the three elders?" Jiraiya asked.
"No," Tsunade said, "I want to punish them. The entire slaughter of a clan is too far." She now stood before the doors. In a swift moment, she punched the doors and sent them across the room. Inside the chamber, Danzo, and the others were sitting.
"Tsunade, what's the meaning of this?" Koharu asked, seeing the two remaining Sannin standing before them and coming in.
"Breaking a door is far better a crime than murder of a clan," Tsunade said.
"We're back to that business again?" Homura asked, "I thought it was realized that Itachi was lying."
"Then why did his spy confirm every detail? Jiraiya asked, "Including actions by the Third. Actions that he would of only done when faced with an impossible choice?"
"It isn't that impossible," the cold and logical Danzo said, "For the greater good, some may need to be pushed away."
"So then you did order Itachi to do it," Tsunade asked.
"It was for the village. A civil war would of destroyed Konoha. You must see that," Homua said.
"That doesn't condone what you ordered done," Jiraiya said, "Neither the First or Second would of gone that far."
"It was because they joined with the Uchiha clan that we had this problem," Danzo said. "They were all power hungry and wanted more. Madara was the worst of them."
"I wouldn't be surprised if would of enjoyed watching the civil war from his grave," Koharu said.
"Uchiha Madara's alive," Jiraiya said, "He was the one who killed Itachi." For the first time in a long time, all three elders showed signs of surprise at hearing of Madara's health.
"That's not possible!" Homura said.
"Itachi called his murderer by that name and he had a sharigan," Jiraiya said. All three elders exchanged glances.
"So, what is the Hokage going to do to defend the village now?" Danzo asked.
"I will die to protect this village. If you were so concerned about it, you should of killed the Uchiha's yourself," Tsunade said. "But for now, I need to deal with your actions."
