Before Naruto had even taken one step, he felt a sick swooping sensation pass through him. He looked down at the ground and watched as it continued to move away from him! He was growing even more! Whatever was in that scroll, it was extremely powerful! Naruto looked down at the village to make sure it was okay and it was. Slowly, his toes grew larger and larger around the village until it fit completely between his big and second toe with quite a bit of room on either side. Naruto grinned, happy that the village was now small enough to be placed comfortably on his body. He licked his right index finger and lifted the village up with his left index finger. He very carefully placed a drop of spit on the bottom of the village and laid it back down on his sandal. It adhered instantly to the sandal's material and stuck in one place. Now Naruto wouldn't have to worry about it sliding off into oblivion. He noticed he had stopped growing for now. He wondered if he would end up growing even more before this whole thing was over. Who could say?

Meanwhile, Konohagakure was starting to settle down in it's new position. The villagers left the safety of the Hokage Mountain and looked around. Most of the drool was long gone, though it was going to take an intense cleaning to wash it all away for good. Luckily Naruto had showered yesterday morning so his feet didn't stink. As long as he kept up with regular washing, they wouldn't have to worry about beind suffocated and it was true that nothing could touch them with Naruto's massive toes on either side of them. Not to mention the extreme drop of Naruto's sandal. Yes, all in all, this wasn't such a bad turn of events at all. Within the hour, the villagers were cleaning up the mess Naruto had inadvertently made and would be done by the time the day was over. Shikamaru had managed to evade Ino and was lazing around on someone's roof. He was on his back and looking up at the sky. He could see just beyond Naruto's toe to a massive pillar of flesh clad in orange rising into the sky. Beyond that, there wasn't much to see. Shikamaru sighed as he stared. Leave it to Naruto to leave them in a situation that required so much work...

"Shikamaru! Get your lazy butt down here and start cleaning with the rest of us!" Ino shouted waving a mop from the street.

Shikamaru sighed again and rolled off the roof, sliding down the wall and landing on the street.

"Fine you nag. Let's get this over with."

"That's the spirit!" Ino said. "Let's get to...wait a minute! NAG?!?!?"

Life would soon return to normal for Konohagakure but it would be a different kind of normal. A better normal.
