The Stable Mistress said, "We only have three weeks, so let's start your training."
The bit in your mouth keeps you from speaking, but you obediently nod your head. The Stable Mistress grabs your reins and leads you around.
...
The obedience instilled in you during the Handmaiden training test, makes your training progress smoothly. The Stable Mistress first teaches you how to prance, trot, and then gallop like a proper pony girl. After that, she hitches you up to a carriage with another pony girl and teaches you how to pull it. At first, the other pony girl has to take the lead, but after a week you get the hang of it and take charge as the lead pony girl. Pulling the carriage gets easier as the days pass by and you build up stamina and strength.
The Stable Mistress only has to hit you with her riding crop on the odd occasion. As the training progresses, it builds upon the obedience instilled in you during the handmaiden training, making you even more compliant and obedient than ever before.
On the last day of your three weeks of training the Stable Mistress pats you on the head and says, "I must admit, you are the best pony girl I have ever trained. Your obedience is second to none and you have a natural talent for prancing and pulling carriages. You really missed your calling in life. You should have been a pony girl instead of wasting your time as an adventurer."
Your entire face blushes red at her words, but before you can do anything else the exit to the time bubble opens up. The Stable Mistress takes your reins in her hand and leads you through it. The sound of the cheering crowd assails your ears as you and the Stable Mistress step out of the time bubble.
"Looks like our last contestant has finally returned folks." The Announcer tells the audience.
You look around and see that indeed the other contestants are already waiting.
The Announcer clears his throat and continues, "That means we can now begin the first part of the pony girl test. Stable Masters and Mistresses, please lead your pony girl around the arena so the judges can rate their ability to prance, trot, and gallop."
As the Stable Mistress starts to lead you around the arena, you take a moment to look at the other contestants and see that all of them look calmer and more obedient than they were the last time you saw them. But all of them still look a little unruly. You can tell just by looking at them, that none of them can compare to your pony girl skills. A strange sense of pride fills you as you realize that you are a better trained beast than they are. This must be how a champion purebred horse feels when it looks at a horse of mixed breed. This will barely even be a challenge for you.
You prove to be correct. The other contestants sometimes trip or miss a step, but you perform flawlessly. No one is surprised when the judges give you the highest score. The contestant named Ricardo, gets the lowest score.
"For the next part of the pony girl test, each contestant will pull a small wagon in a race." The Announcer proclaims as the Stable Masters and Mistresses hook their pony girls up to a wagon.
This part of the test proves to be even less of a challenge for you than the last part. You manage to cross the finish line a whole minute before the other contestants. Ricardo, once again, comes in last place.
"Looks like John has put on another star performance!" The Announcer exclaims as the crowd cheers, "And it looks like Ricardo has failed the pony girl test. That means she will be spending the rest of her life as a pony girl. After the Stable Masters and Mistresses finish her training."
You hear Ricardo scream around the bit in her mouth as the Stable Masters and Mistresses drag her out of the arena.
"Let's move on to the next part of the contest!" The Announcer says... Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
