Asuma was standing at the door. "So you must be Garick Umino", Asuma said while smoking a cigarette as he always did, "I'm Asuma your squad leader we’re going to go to the training area to help you’re with your fighting. Iruka told me that you’re strong but need some work on you’re fighting. I’m going to see how well you’d do in a fight so I have better idea of what we need to improve. So I will have you fight one of your new teammates to see how well you do one on one and if you’re good enough you will face all of them at the same time. We’re going to go meet the others at the training grounds.” As we got there I saw Ino, Chouji, and Shikamaru sitting down on a log waiting. Then Chouji said, “Good morning sensei.” “Good morning everyone today I would like to have Garick here fight one of you to see how well he can fight so I am going to let him choose who he wants to fight. He is strong but he doesn’t have the experience that you three do.” Asuma said as he turned towards me. “Now Garick don’t worry if you don’t get it the first times just do your best. So who are you going to choose to fight?” I had thought about this for a little bit knowing that I probably would lose against Shikamaru right away because he was able to think many steps ahead and he was pretty fast and he had his shadow possession jutsu. I wasn’t going to choose Ino because she was fast as well and could really annoy me with her jutsu that could control my body also no matter what (I just would not hit a girl it’s just something I could not do). So my last choice was Chouji he is strong but slow and he’s able to change the size of any body part or his entire body if he wants. He’s the slowest out of the three so he was the one that I would have the best chance against. So I decided I would go against him. “I’ve decided I want to go against Chouji.” “Alright,” Asuma said “Chouji your going to go against Garick.” After he said that Chouji and I got to the center of the area. “I’ll say when to start if it gets too dangerous I will step to stop it just like at the chunin exams. Alright are you two ready?” Then Chouji said as he nodded “I’ll go easy on you since you don’t have much experience fighting.” As I heard him say that it caused me to get really angry because no matter what if I verse anyone in anything I always give it my all and expect them to do the same. I than said in anger “I may not have much fighting experience but, you better not go easy on me because I won’t be going easy on you.”

“I’m ready.” I said looking at Asuma then he said “Begin.” As he said that I jumped up and punched the ground hoping that this worked to give me some cover and it did work. As I hit the ground I caused it to send a bunch of dust into the air along with some small rocks right after doing that I charged in running at speeds I had never ran before. As I was running I quickly unsheathed my sword and through it just outside the cloud of dust for one hoping it would distract him and also so I wouldn’t hurt him too bad and so I could use the sheathe as the weapon instead. As I got close I pulled out the sheathe and tried to jab him in the stomach with it but just as I was about to do it he jumped back and that caused me to trip cause I didn’t expect it. As he landed I heard him say something and as I looked at him I realized he had just done his meat tank jutsu as he started rolling at me at a high speed and just as he was about to hit me I did the substitution jutsu and instead of hitting me he hit a stone that I switched with. Him hitting that stone caused more dust to be in the air, which gave me just enough time to think of what to do than it occurred to me that my best choice would be to do something that no one would expect me to do. At that moment I for some reason was thinking of the episode that Naruto use he shadow clone jutsu for the first time and it gave me an idea to try the shadow clone jutsu I may never had learned it before but, I had watched the show a number of times and the thing is when it came to things like T.V. I had an almost perfect memory an almost photographic memory. As I tried to remember the hand signs I went through every Naruto episode in my head trying to think of where it showed him doing the hand signs and I found them. Just as the dust cloud cleared I started doing the hand signs and just then he noticed me and started rolling at me again. Just as he got about 10 feet from me I was able to finish the hand signs and shouted, “Shadow Clone Jutsu!!!” as I said that there was 4 more of me by my side. Chouji was still heading towards me so last minute I had all the clones go around me and toss me over him just as he was about to hit me destroying my clones and as I was in the air I decided to try something with the height I had gotten (which was about 30 feet or so off the ground). So as I was returning to the ground I punched it and as I did that the ground around me seemed to ripple then tear from the sheer force of the hit, which had also caused Chouji to be sent back for about ten feet. In the air were some large pieces from the ground one of which was heading towards me without my knowledge just then I heard a feminine sounding voice that seemed to be in my head shout, “Move!!!!” and then my body moved just narrowly dodging the large rock or boulder what ever it was it would had killed me if I didn’t move. After I moved I said to myself, “Who was that?” just after I had asked that question I realized that for one that boulder almost hit me and two that when I moved I had somehow moved about 20 or 30 feet away from the area within about what must had been at most a couple of seconds because I had heard the rock hit the ground just as I was about to land from my side step to the right. After the dust was clearing Asuma said, “Are you alright Garick?” “I’m alright,” I said as I for some reason wanted to still fight after almost getting killed “I would like more of a challenge though if it’s ok I’d like to fight Shikamaru and Chouji and Ino all at once” I thought to myself I must be crazy with Shikamaru leading their team I was almost certain to lose than I heard Asuma say “I think you may be able to handle it but I better give you a minute to rest.” After I rested I said, “I’m ready to fight.” “Alright how about you three?” Asuma said, “We’re ready.” Shikamaru said after he said that we went to the center and Asuma didn’t say anything thing for what to me seemed like a very long time then as I was starting to get impatient…..
