A few days later things were settling down at the X-Mansion. The training went on as usual. But Alice was having some difficulties using her powers in training. She always seemed to do something that would get her in trouble. She tried to grow her body at one point but she accidentally shrank instead.
A little later she was in the kitchen feeling depressed and having a bite to eat. She always seemed to eat when she was depressed. But she just gave out a sigh and began to hope for the best.
“Are you alright?” asked a Voice.
Alice then turned around and saw Rogue. She walked into the kitchen and sat down next to her friend.
“I can’t seem to do anything right here,” said Alice.
“Why would you say a thing like that sugar,” replied Rogue.
“In training I can never get my powers to work.”
“But you were able to use them when we went to save the X-Men a couple of days ago. Why can’t you control it now?”
“I guess I’m nervous.”
“Then do something to relax yourself.”
