This choice: Knock over the chairs. | Go Back Chapter 5: The Chase is on (ID #407730) an addition by: Past Member 'primalhuman' More by this author You bide your time, waiting, as you listen for her foot falls which draw ever closer. “Terrance, you come out and be devoured right now young man!” A girlish giggle rings through the room, and you find yourself wishing that pretty girls like that did have an interest in yourself, one other than using you as food. With that thought in mind you make your move.”
“What the…” she get’s out before she trips over the chairs that suddenly appear to block her way. “Terrance!?” she barks as she sees you up and running for the door.
You grab the door jam and use it to sling you to the right, zipping by another student, who seems mostly bewildered by your sudden appearance, and charging for the door. As much as you hate to ditch, now seems like an excellent time to run home.
You hear a collision of bodies and turn to find that Mary Anne has crashed into the student you passed by. The two go down in a tangle of limbs, but you are able to make out Mary Anne’s baleful gaze, which gives your feet wings.
The bright afternoon sun strike’s your face but you pay it little mind. Instead you vault the schools front steps and sprint over your scooter. Your finger’s fumble with the ignition for a few moments. Your head turns as the doors to the school crash open, and Mary Anne storms out, eyes locked on you. The scooter starts and you take off.
A glance over your shoulder shows that the Cheerleader has broken into a sprint and you realize that you may be screwed. Mary Anne takes pride in the fact that even though she’s a cheerleader, she can whip any girl and most of the boys on the track team in a sprint or marathon run. You’re still getting the scooter up to speed and the way she’s moving there’s a decent chance that she’ll catch you before you can accelerate away.
