“But I mean, honestly,” you say, moving away from your past interest in Ashby, “I never made any plans for after graduation because I didn’t think I was going to need them.” You pause a moment to actually reflect on how surprised you are to be alive today before turning the conversation back to her. “But you’ve known this was coming. I can’t believe that you haven’t thought about it.”
“Well, I’ve thought about it.” She says, once again repositioning her feet in your lap. You think she knows that this excites you. “I’ve thought about it a lot, I just can’t think of what I want to do.”
“I think you have to start with what you like to do and then go from there.” You try your best to offer advice.
“Well, that’s it, though.” Ashby complains. “Like, all that I like to do is just hang out and stuff. I mean, I like to go to parties, I like to dance and I like to eat guys every once in a while. That’s it, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with that.”
