The phone rings twice before Ashley picks up on the other end. Her voice sounds a little distorted coming through the cell phone, but you’re not really all that familiar with how her voice normally sounds. It’s strange, you think, to be calling her up like this when you hardly know her aside from a few flirty notes passed in class. Still, your options are pretty thin and you don’t have long before Jackie will get suspicious.
“Hello?” she answers, sounding uncertain.
“Hey! Ash?” You do your best to sound excited and enthusiastic despite your panicked state. “It’s Troy.”
“Hey, what’s going on?”
“Well, I know this is kind of sudden, but I know we were talking about having a date some time.…”
“Yeah?” She says with some anticipation in her tone.
“How does right now sound for you?”
