you hear the sadness in the crying. you listen closer and find that it's a human girl. you practice your non-menacing looks in a puddle, and you continue on towards the sound.
when you come around a large rock, you see her. she is about eighteen, and she is pretty dirty. she doesn't see you, because her head is buried in her arms. you let out a small whine, and she looks up.
almost instantly, she whimpers and backs further up against the rock, hugging her knees tightly against her chest.
realizing that you've scared her, you lie down on your stomach, and rest your head on your front paws. you let out another whine, trying to show her that you aren't going to hurt her.
the girl stares at you, her eyes wide. however, she stops crying, and relaxes a little bit. you edge closer slowly, still on your stomach.
she cautiously reaches out her hand. "N-nice wolf...please...d-don't hurt m-me..."
you nudge your muzzle under her hand, and you let her stroke you for a while.
all of a sudden, she lashes out and wraps her arms around you. "Please! Don't leave! Help me!" she cries.
