I heard a happy whistle and I raised one of my heads to look. There was a girl wearing a brown shirt, jeans, and carrying a large backpack. She had red hair and blue eyes. Wait, blue eyes and red hair...!

Oh no it's Melody!

Melody was my best friend since kindergarten. she always stuck up for me, but now I don't even know what would happen. Melody was heading towards my cave, and I quickly went to the back of it. My dark scales would help disguse me along the darkness. She sat down and pulled out a sandwich. The sight of food made me want to go closer, but I had to resist. However, I stepped on a branch and Melody turned around.

"Who's there?" she said.

I didn't say a word and tried to move back as far as possible. Melody stood up and walked towards me. "H-Hello...? Is anyone...there?"

I accidentally let out a low growl, and she stepped back.
