Life can be many things; fast or slow, simple or complicated, normal or bizarre. That last one probably has the most possibilities to it though. Let’s face it, a lot of times, reality can be pretty dull and sometimes you need something really weird or crazy to shake things up. Of course, your definition of weird can depend on what kind of person you are.

If you’re someone like Kagami Hiragi, often looking at your studies and life in general in a serious manner, then it really doesn’t take much to shock you. Of course, you could be like her fraternal twin, Tsukasa, and be a little ditzy and easily forget assignments given to you while also not being that into games or manga, but it would still be pretty easy to shock you. Of course, there’s also the possibility that you are like Miyuki Takara; very well rounded in both your mind and body, always being so proper and nice, while at the same time being possibly able to handle a little more and perhaps not.

There are more examples that could be given, but for this particular group of friends, they were missing one truly unique individual. Sure, class hadn’t actually started yet, but Kagami was already willing to put money down that she spent all night gaming and now didn’t have the strength to get out of bed. It’s her own fault; sooner or later she was going to have to learn to be not so childish. Plus hey, her acting stupid meant that Kagami wouldn’t have anyone beyond her sister begging for her notes.

“It was totally stinky!” she laughed it up with her friends and Tsukasa even backed her up “Super stinky!” While they enjoyed their selves though, someone’s butt suddenly slid in front of the camera, and the skirt that covered it did not look happy. Only when the person with the expansive rear spoke did the girls actually notice her “Hey guys.”

They all turned their heads and they all gasped as Konata finally arrived on the scene. Konata was a lot of things; shorter than most girls, someone who could pull off blue hair, and biggest Otaku that these girls knew. However, being obsessed with manga and anime was no longer the biggest thing they saw from her, and her uniform was paying the price. The whole thing looked like it was too small on her now, visibly stretching over her chest, though not in the same way that Miyuki’s top did for her. Her sleeves were slightly sinking into her arms and none of them remembered Konata’s skirt being shorter than them, but the sudden growth in her hips made all the difference. Looking again, Kagami even noticed that her cheeks looked a little rounder than before, and Konata was already cute to begin with. Not surprised at all by their reactions, Konata just flicked her arm in a casual wave “Yo.”

“WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?!” suddenly springing to life, Kagami become a frightening version of herself as she let her stupid friend have it while she shuddered in terror “HOW COULD YOU SHOW UP TO SCHOOL LOOKING LIKE THAT?!” Suddenly, the spotlight was on Konata as she begged for forgiveness “Please master, this was all I had to wear. I couldn’t anything else. Please don’t punish me.” Seeing the little tears from the girl on her knees, Kagami could only sweatdrop and look at the typical moron “I’m not your master.”

“Kona-chan, what happened to you? GASP! Did you finally have a growth spurt?!” after walking over with Tsukasa, Miyuki suddenly became very excited for her friend. A more developed body would make anyone’s clothes ill-equipped, and Kagami had to agree, which is why she also gasped in utter astonishment “WHAT?! No way!”

“Um, Miyuki-san, look again.” Konata said, prompting her friend to just sat. A size appeared beside her, then Kagami, Tsukasa, and finally when it got back to Konata, it was clear that there wasn’t half an inch difference with her. Embarrassed, Miyuki oozed Moe and as she rubbed the side of her head and blushed “Oops.”

“Yeah, I actually grew wider, not taller.” Once more though, Konata’s words had all of the attention focused on her. No one likes admitting they’ve gained a few pounds, least of all girls, and the one who struggled the most with this before a plus sized version of her friend walked through the door had to know “You gained weight?! How?!”

“I don’t know, maybe you and me switched bodies like in that movie. Did you play a Dating Sim yesterday?” Konata smugly smirked at her insecure friend, who quickly clenched her now shaking fist “Why you,” but then Kagami found another weapon in her arsenal, prompting her to give Konata her own condescending smile “Wait a minute, I bet you you’ve been eating tons of junk food while gaming, haven’t you? You finally got bitten in the butt, and now there’s plenty to bite.”

“Actually, lately I’ve been eating a lot of watermelon.” Once again, Konata had to bring Kagami’s hopes crashing down. Sure, her friend was still fat, but what she was supposed to do? Scold her for eating too much fruit. Miyuki was equally as surprised, but she just simply said “I guess overindulging on anything can’t be all that good for you.”

“How much melon have you been eating, Kona-chan?” Tsukasa asked her friend. Unlike her sister, her smile was friendly, like Miyuki’s, something that didn’t go over Konata’s head, as she answered her question “Only a few, but eating them all in one bite really packs on the calories and stretches my stomach too far.”

Everyone’s reaction was as followed “Dot, Dot, Dot, say what?”
