"Uh oh" Renamon thought as she stopped in front of the bushes. She looked out to see a lake sprawled out in front of her and Rika illuminated by the moonlight; she let Rika down and searched the lake to see his head barely above the water. He was struggling to stay afloat but with his injuries quickly went under.

Renamon didn't want to jump in because the water smelled really bad to her but knew if she didn't he would drown so in she went. She emerged out of the water holding the males head above water, when they got back to shore Rika checked him out to see that his injuries had not opened up or gotten any worse. Renamon caught herself giving out a sigh of relief for some reason, luckily Rika didn't notice.

Renamon carried him on her back all the back to the campsite upset that she now smelled of stinky lake. When they got back her fur had almost dried leaving it matted and smelly, she was upset and wanted to go home and shower but knew he still needed to rest. After Rika had gone back to sleep Renamon began to scout the local areas to see if anyone was nearby when she saw......
