He spent a good fifteen minutes searching for one. Finally, he came across a newspaper with lots of boldly printed words on it, and underneath it was a ham sandwich and a rotting apple.
So, good things *did* comes to those who wait, Templeton sneered.
Being quick, he quickly gulped down the food, and found a suitable word in the newspaper and tore it out. As quick as he could, he returned to the spider to hand it in.
It was late at night when he made it back. Once he had shown the spider the word and she had approved, she told him he could go off and enjoy the fair.
Templeton, glad he had gotten *that* over with, scurried out of the pigpen and out into the night. As he left, he found the mountains of food. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below... *
